Artist Bio / Album Info

Shoreline Rootz is an original 11 piece Rootz/Rock/Reggae band based out of Encinitas, San Diego California. Formed in 2009, the smokey sounding vocals of Ryan Thorpes are truly original.

Their music is heavily influenced by Groundation, Burning Spear, Bob Marley, & many of the older reggae sounds. This band has HUGE horn lines, female backing vocals, & a strong percussion section guaranteed to open the eyes of any reggae enthusiast.

They have kept their gigs fairly grass roots because they are so new on the scene, yet have shared the stage with such acts as: ISRAEL VIBRATION, KATCHAFIRE, COLLIE BUDDZ, &  SEEDLESS and have performed on Channel 6 news “San Diego Living”.

Some of the stages they routinely performed on (but are not excluded to) are BELLY UP TAVERN, HOUSE OF BLUES, WINSTON’S, 4TH & B, 710 BEACH CLUB, GALLAGHER’S, SAINT ROCKE, KILKENNEY’S, BAR LEUCADIAN, & many many more!
