Counter Culture is Northern California's newest dubrock/reggae band. Hailing from Marin County, California, we shall strive to bring more joy to all cultures. We hope that we might inspire you enough to want to think and make changes in your spirit, that we might touch you and make you want to make changes in your soul, but we would be just as happy to see our music put a smile on your face and make you want to make changes in your body. We encourage everyone to be themselves, to think and study for themselves and not to allow the "BABYLON" system to control your life! Be free!

Counter Culture springs forth from true California roots. Natives of California from birth, we have now grown & sown our seeds into the hills & valleys of Northern California, which we now call home.

Counter Culture started when Ryan, a singer, songwriter & multi-instrumentalist, met the drummer Scotty, and bassist Mike, who have been playing together for many years. After our second jam session together, Ryan stopped by his regular dive-bar karaoke night and discovered a very irregular Joe Endoso, who shocked us with his youthful energy, silky sweet vocal tone, and guitar chops.

Carving out our corner of the California Roots Reggae Dub Rock genre, we are still inspired by Hip Hop, Rap, R&B, Rock, Alternative Rock, Heavy Metal, Punk, some jazz and of course Dub and Reggae. We have begun to hash out a unique sound that might make the laziest man you know want to get up & dance!
